Women in country music came to "sleigh" Christmas songs in 2020! With the holidays right around the corner, it was only fitting to showcase some of the holiday tunes we have been loving this season!

Dolly Parton's collab with Miley Cyrus "Christmas Is"

"It's all about kindness, love and compassion," the duo sing, reminding us what is really important this holiday season. Christmas is different things to different people, but it is important to spend time with loved ones.

Runaway June's new release "When I Think About Christmas"

Runaway June flaunts their country roots with versatility by showcasing on this EP their organic three-part harmonies paired with their genuine excitement to spread holiday cheer. “Our new Christmas EP, When I Think About Christmas has all of these beautiful mountain Appalachian sounds,” says Naomi, Jennifer, and Natalie. “So we put our own little spin on Christmas music and we’ve got some fiddle so why not!”

Maddie & Tae's new release "Merry Married Christmas"

These ladies are celebrating their first Christmas both being part of married couples. "Baby I don't need a present wrapped under the tree. I got your loving so there's nothing you could buy that I need," the duo sing. Of their decision to write a Christmas album, the pair said "We’ve always wanted to make a Christmas album and it just worked out perfectly this year since we weren’t able to go on tour."

Dolly Parton's new release with Michael Bublé  "Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas"

An unexpected duo, but we are HERE FOR IT. “One of the things I’m so excited about is my duet with Michael that’s in our Holly Dolly Christmas album. That was one of our great Christmas treats of my whole life,” Dolly said. This song is the new perfect romantic Christmas song if you're spending your holiday season with your partner.

Maddie & Tae's new video for "We Need Christmas"

This song sums up what we need this year during the holiday season. The lyrics "This world could use a little healing. Our hearts could surely use something to believe in," are very fitting considering what a crazy year it has been! The duo also looks STUNNING in their holiday gowns.

Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson's new release "Pretty Paper"

Name a more iconic duo than Dolly and Willie Nelson.... I'll wait. The song was penned by Willie in the early 60s, but the duo have since come together to record it. Of the decision to include the song on her new album, Dolly said “I’ve always loved Willie’s songs. I really, really just love anything he writes.”

Carrie Underwood's new release "Little Drummer Boy"

The country superstar released her version of the classic Christmas tune. The song features her son, Isaiah, and it is ADORABLE. We would love to see more mother-son duets in the future!

Runaway June's new release "Christmas On The Radio"

Displaying their authentic love for the season expressed through the artistry and talent that fans, critics, and radio have all embraced, Runaway June poured their passion for the holidays into this project. “Christmas On The Radio” is an original song described by that band as an “instant classic,” exuding cheer and anticipation of holiday music and traditions soon to come.

Carrie Underwood's new release "Let There Be Peace"

It has definitely been a stressful year, but this song is a good anthem for this holiday season. The spiritual melody illustrates what Carrie is asking for this year. "Let there be peace, let there be love, let there be joy for you and me."

Maggie Rose's new release "Happier New Year (Christmas Is Canceled)

“Things are pretty grim up in the North Pole. The elves are sauced the reindeer are getting thin. Santa’s little helpers have all been furloughed,” she sings, bringing real-life problems into her fantasy world. This year has been a very stressful one, and there's only better times ahead in 2021! Well, we hope anyways.
