For the first time ever, the 2023 Extreme Cowgirl Challenge will take place in Kansas.

A cowgirls-only event, 20 teams of four riders each will compete in reining, extreme trail, ranch-style cutting, and a finals event of team sorting. One horse is required for all events, a test of the versatility of the equine partner. Each event will be judged.

After the 20 teams compete, the top five will move on to finals, which includes a judged team sorting event. The show plans to award a Top Hand and a Top Horse award, as well.

It will be hosted by Perry Quarter Horses in Leoti, Kansas, from May 12th through the 14th.

Their team spots filled up in less than 36 hours-- a nod to the excitement this challenge brings! There will be over $15,000 in cash and prizes awarded to the teams.
