HOME & RANCH 5 Decorative Pumpkins to Get You In the Fall Spirit! By Raquel Lynn | August 31, 2015 Cowboy-Boot-and-Initial-Studded-Pumpkins-by-Horses-Heels Share I love fall and all of the cozy things it brings, especially decorating pumpkins. Get inspired and try to recreate these cowgirl friendly pumpkins for fall. Try carving a horse on a large pumpkin. Tip – draw the horse on your pumpkin with pencil first before you start carving. Photo source > If carving seems like a mess and maybe too challenging, try paint and a simple stud design. These are pumpkins I created last year. I painted my pumpkins white with a few coats of Martha Stewart paint and topped the stems off with silver. Silver studs were used to create initials and silver cowboy boots were painted on the biggest pumpkin. Photo source > Go bold with bright paint colors and make Southwest inspired pumpkins. Use tape or paper to create triangles for the design. Photo source > This carved horse head is another beautiful pumpkin. Photo source > Sometimes less is more. Make a bold statement with black and white Southwest inspired pumpkins. Arrows and feathers? Yes please.
