A Coloring Book For Cowgirls!

Turquoise Hill released, The Rebel Cowgirl, “a coloring book for the modern day grungy cowgirl.” It has 28 pages “filled with original artwork as well as some of your favorite influencers in the community!”

Ashley Hill is the entrepreneur behind Turquoise Hill. She is “a wife, boy mom & licensed cosmetologist.” She “craved the idea of being a stay-at-home mom, like my mom was for me, but also craved the idea of starting my own business.” Thus, Turquoise Hill was born.

Turquoise Hill “specializes in Western Logos & Branding Kits for small businesses.” After wanting to add something different to her shop, she thought of the punchy coloring book. Hill explains that the ball hit the ground rolling after that. 

“I keep saying, ‘I think I’m meant to do this!’ Because it just all flowed so well,” says Hill. 

As for her favorite designs in the book, it is a tie between a photo of Marijka Hunsaker (which started the idea of incorporating influencers) and her original design, “Grow Wild” (which she sells on crewnecks and t-shirts). 

None of the boots have details on them, so each cowgirl can design their own throughout the book. 

She says the name comes from “my style [which] has always been a little different than everyone else. I’m covered in tattoos, absolutely love anything Rockabilly/ Pin-Up but love my cowboy hat & boots. I wanted this coloring book to truly be an extension of that. Not typical. Super punchy. A little grunge and rough around the edges. The Rebel Cowgirl.”

In the future, she will publish The Rebel Cowgirl 2.0 and The Rebel Farm Kids ABC’s & Activity Book. 

“Never in a million years did I think I would get to see my work printed and shipped to hundreds of people. I am truly amazed,” ends Ashley Hill.
