Dream Country, Sarah Darling’s just released album, takes listeners on a whimsical ride through songs about stars, and when cowboys used to ride away into the West.
Serving as a follow up to 2012’s Home To Me EP, Dream Country showcases Darling’s smooth songwriting style that crosses country, Americana and contemporary pop. As an escapist of sorts, Sarah Darling aims to take listeners on a journey through aspirational, cinematic songs about stars, dreams and romance.
Growing up in the small town of Mitchellville, Iowa, Sarah found inspiration in night skies and always dreamed of something bigger for herself. With this inspiration, Sarah moved to Nashville at 19. “When I moved here, I picked up my first guitar, had my first heartbreak and all of a sudden it was like ‘Ok, I’m going to put all of this together.’
Since then, Sarah has released several albums with half-million downloads worldwide and two number one videos on CMT and GAC. Her biggest hit, “Home to Me” lead to performances on Conan O’Brien, Fox & Friends, and opening for artists like Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves.
