A Day at the Races

Going to the races is all what you make it, fashion-wise. Not every race is the Kentucky Derby, but you’ll see women in everything from jeans and tees to a-lines and floppy hats. When we go, we prefer to get dolled up, because we love a good reason to wear a floppy hat.

If you’re hitting the races with family or friends this summer, we wanted to give you a head start on outfit planning. It’s all about what makes you feel the most beautiful, but we are diggin’ a sleek jumpsuit with your favorite pair of cockroach killers. It’s chic and a little western. If a jumpsuit is so far out of your element you almost stopped reading, hey, we hear ya. A jumpsuit is a lot of commitment when you’re downing margaritas and bloody mary’s all day! So try out Wrangler’s adorable crochet fringe skirt or a brightly colored maxi dress. Give it some western personality with all the tooled leather goodies you can possibly get your mitts on!

Now that you’re feeling beautiful and confident, let’s hope there’s a smidgen of luck that comes along with all that. The best advice we can offer from here is don’t bet on the grey. Or at least that’s what Grandpa always said. 😉
