Crystal McGrath is releasing her newest single "About A Boy" tomorrow, June 11th, and we cannot wait for y'all to hear it! COWGIRL got an exclusive sneak peek at the new song, as well as her inspiration, and a look into Crystal's other interest: women empowerment! Her new song deals with that exact topic, which she explains is creating a big movement in the country music industry.

She says, “I love how the song clearly states, “why does it ALWAYS have to be about a boy” and a huge part of what I stand for is female empowerment! I feel like this song in a way represents that emotion for me, and it’s really reminding ourselves and listeners that women are equally valid and can play on the same field! Ask any girl - they have had some moment in their life where their world revolved around a boy, there's humor in it to me, as much as we are independent and confident, we are all still human and honoring the human emotions getting real with a feeling is something super important to me.”

Aside from being a singer, she is an advocate for women’s empowerment and wants women to feel that they can go after any goal that they hope to achieve! To promote this message, Crystal founded “Live With Love”, an online platform with the goal of helping women achieve their dreams. Crystal also uses her podcast Crushing Chaos as a way to promote stories of women pushing through the obstacles in their lives to achieve their goals.

She started the "Live with Love" online movement and mindset platform to inspire women to live their best life. "Something that I have put a ton of work into in my life is feeling good about myself, as soon as I awakened to the knowledge that it all begins internally it changed my life and I wanted to share that with as many other women that I possibly could through the tools I have built over the years," she says.

When COVID lockdowns hit in 2020, she turned her Crushing Chaos podcast into an interview-style series. She felt it was an important time to connect and share stories of overcoming struggle to put the message into the world. The change is constant and provide tools through the guests stories for people going through challenging times.

We are impressed with not only her music, but her female empowerement advocacy as well. We cannot wait to see what else she does in the future! Make sure you connect with Crystal, she loves hearing from her fans, friends, and our COWGIRL family!
