Ashley Jordan's "One More Night"

Ashley Jordan is a force to be reckoned with, and her new song "One More Night" packs a punch! The rap-country mix brings a fresh breath of air to the modern country music scene. We are OBSESSED and can't wait to hear more of what Ashley comes up with! COWGIRL caught up with Ashley to get a word about the inspiration behind her new release.

"When I wrote the lyrics for One More Night, I was watching in panic as the world seemed to be completely falling apart and I found myself sinking low. I was afraid to even check in on the daily news.  I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this – when you’re frightened about the future because you're surrounded by the pandemic and unrest and everything in between. 

"When I summed it up in writing/lyrics – it sounded so negative, and I realized that I just needed to get through every night and perhaps the next day would be better.  My family has always lived by the motto of “tomorrow is another day” – that things can change and improve if we just hold on.  So in the end, this song is meant to convey hope for tomorrow and that we need to live each day to the fullest."

"The styling and recording of this song was something very different from what I usually create as a Country artist – but I’ve always been inspired by some great rap/hick-hop music. So as a reflection of the world around me, this song came to life

"My song One More Night is meant to offer a message of hope.  There’s so much negativity going on around us, but we need to live our lives for today and hold on tight for tomorrow. I believe that there are many more positive things to come in the future."
