The Barrel Racing Industry Alliance (BRIA) has released a new website at www.barrelracingalliance.com, which provides educational and informational data resources for the barrel racing industry.

The website offers resources and information for currently participating barrel racers, producers and those interested in learning more about barrel racing. BRIA is committed to supporting the continued growth of the barrel racing industry and to recognizing registered American Quarter Horses and registered American Paint Horses competing in barrel racing.

The new site is just one of several initiatives that BRIA has taken on in pursuit of those goals, and it features:

  • Results template for producers: BRIA recently adopted a standard template for submitting barrel racing results. This standardization will assist in providing quicker results of produced events for all competitors and breeders as well. The template, with detailed instructions, will assist all producers to easily submit their results.
  • Records: Visitors can find information on how to obtain records and track earnings of registered American Quarter Horses and Paint Horses competing in barrel racing.
  • Education: The site provides resources to learn more about barrel racing, including formats, organizations and information about using the registered names of horses competing in barrel races.

“Providing education and creating avenues to better record the successes of barrel racing horses is at the very core of BRIA’s mission,” said Butch Wise, BRIA chairman and AQHA past president. “This new website will provide valuable information to everyone involved in barrel racing, from producers to owners and competitors to breeders, to help accomplish that mission.”

BRIA continues to explore and develop opportunities including a graded stakes system and black-type pedigree standard to ensure barrel racing horses are accurately valued.

Formed in 2021 by industry leaders and influencers, BRIA’s mission is to develop and implement initiatives and programs that will foster continued progress and growth for the sport of barrel racing. Members of BRIA are the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, Barrel Futurities of America, Better Barrel Races, Breeder’s Challenge, Future Fortunes, National Barrel Horse Association, West Coast Barrel Racing Association, Pink Buckle/Ruby Buckle and Women’s Pro Rodeo Association.
