When Roger Miller sang “King of the Road,” he really should have sung a song about the “Queen of the Road.”

I have never met a cowgirl that did not have numerous hours of windshield time. Whether they are hauling to various rodeos, horse shows, or just your daily commute to work, the road can become boring over time. Endless hours of watching the same lines disappear underneath you and counting t-posts.

Luckily, technology has made it much easier to stay occupied and help the time fly by!

If You’re Driving:

Podcasts

If music is not your forte, podcasts are a great way to learn something new or to dive further into a topic you’re interested in! There are podcasts on virtually any topic! True crime podcasts have been taking over the listening world! Want some horse-related podcasts? Click here!

Bumpin’ Playlist

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! Music is ol’ faithful when it comes to passing time in a car. Create a playlist full of your favorite songs to jam out to! Be sure to constantly update it, to keep it interesting! If you’re needing new songs, check out our “Music on Mondays!”

Visualize Your Goals

You can use this time to visualize your goals and plan your next steps in life. Driving allows for numerous hours of evaluating where you are and where you want to be!

Stand Up Comedy

Time flies when you’re having fun! Laugh your heart out on the road by listening to your favorite comedian! Before you know, you’ve arrived with a smile on your face!

Play Car Games

Whether you have a passenger or not, you can play car games! Your parents have probably already told you to do this one, but like I said before, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!” Tell yourself to find something green, then find something green! I-spy will never go out of style!

If You’re Not Driving:

Watch TV

You can catch up on your favorite shows during the long hours! May we suggest these fan favorites

Read a Book

“That tv will rot your brain!” I can hear my parents yelling now. Instead of tv, you can always choose the “healthier” option of reading a book. Our suggestion you asked? Check this book out!

Window Watch

What else is a passenger supposed to do than call out “cows!” when they see them!? Take advantage of your traveling by window watching!

Nap

Have you ever met a cowgirl that gets enough sleep? Yeah, me neither. If your driver is good to drive, let that road rock you into a deep sleep. You deserve it!

Organize Your Phone

Now's your chance to go through your pictures, your emails, and to clear your phone of unwanted storage!

Happy traveling cowgirls!
