Bree Jaxson is a fighter. Upon graduating from a performing arts high school in her hometown of Baltimore, MD, she joined the Air Force in 2010. After valiantly serving in combat in Afghanistan, she went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college. She’s continued to thrive against all odds.
In addition to continuing her work with the military as the Deputy Commander for Cyberspace Operations for the Texas Air National Guard, she currently supports her husband and two children working full-time as a consultant for Truist Bank. However, even with what most would deem a complete, accomplished life, Jaxson is not ready to give up the fight just yet.
“For so long, people told me that I had to go to college, get a real job and leave music behind because there was no career in that and now, I just want to prove them all wrong and be happy in what I do,” she says.
Bree uses the hip-hop, pop and rock influences of her youth to shape her unique country sound. She is currently deployed for 7 months, and her new video represents who she is in her everyday life and her friends rallied to help her vision come to life. “As a woman, I live in a few worlds. Military, Mom, Wife, & love my friends. I am that woman who can get in the mud and then clean up and glam up for a night on the town.”
“I am so excited to share my music video “Country Heart City Roots” with COWGIRL Magazine,” she shares. “Since I have been deployed, the music community has been so supportive and I am so excited to share my heart and my roots with all the amazing cowgirls out there!”
