Bursting At The Seams For Abigail Neilson's New Single

Seattle, WA, Country/Pop singer Abigail Neilson channeled her ability to connect with others on a deeper level for her newest single "Seams". The song deals with heartbreak and missing someone you loved. COWGIRL caught up with Abigail to talk about her newest single, music video, and future plans!

The single was inspired by Abigail's own experience with heartbreak, and is something most everyone can relate to! She said "I had so much I wanted to say to one person but couldn’t, so I crafted the lyrics with the thought of what I’d wanna say to this person."

"Seams" was recorded in July 2019, before Covid. Along with her previous two releases, this single was part of an EP she was planning to release last year. When the pandemic hit, Abigail decided to release the songs as singles since she didn’t know when she would feel safe to travel.

As for the music video, Abigail said "Filming during the pandemic was different than my previous videos. I knew from the start I wanted to have a water element. It was really interesting thinking of ways to tell these stories without having other people in the video and being outside. It taught me how to grow my imagination and how to tell stories in new ways and it was so much fun getting to be out in nature." The stunning video was filmed at Gold Creek River and Rattlesnake Lake in Snoqualmie, WA.

Abigail hopes that "Seams" can be a reminder for listeners to know that it's just as important to feel the feelings that come along with heartbreak, as it is to know that you’re not alone and that things will get better!
