Callie Twisselman has been a busy gal since we last sat down with her earlier this year! She recently released her debut EP "Closure" and has a busy lineup for the rest of the year. Being from a ranching family, she is constantly influenced by the cowboy way of life and is a testament that cowgirls can do anything they set their minds to! We can't wait for y'all to hear all her new music!

Her ranching upbringing especially influenced her single "Cowboy". She says, "Before it became a love song, it was based off my dad and his characteristics and hardworking abilities. It's a tribute to the cowboy way of life." She has also drawn inspiration from different chapters of her life over the past few years to create other songs on the EP.

Callie is excited to start playing live shows again, and is opening for Big and Rich today at The California Mid State Fair! With National Day of the Cowboy tomorrow, Callie has decided to celebrate the holiday by entering Breakaway Roping in the fair's rodeo. The event combines her two loves: singing and rodeo! For Callie, being a cowboy covers a range of aspects, "They have this way about them where they're gentlemen, they work hard, and know how to treat a lady."
