Clare Dunn.

A tractor cab might not seem like the ideal place for an aspiring artist to nurture her musical dreams, but it sure did the trick for Clare Dunn. Growing up in tiny Two Buttes, Colorado (population: 43), she spent days at a time helping plow and plant the family farm, sharpening her ears with uninterrupted music-listening in the driver’s seat, even as she strengthened her work ethic. “That’s where a lot of my creativity came from and where a lot of my vision was forged, was just having nothing else to do other than listen to music and dream all day long in the vast wide open of those plains,” she reflects.

Following a powerful performance of her new single “More” during CMT’s Next Women of Country luncheon, CMT announced that Clare would be part of its 2019 Next Women of Country Tour alongside Cassadee Pope and Hannah Ellis. “I’m blown away by this honor and can’t wait to get out on the road with Cassadee and Hannah!” said Clare.

Known for her transfixing live shows, unparalleled guitar artistry, and clean, powerful vocals—as demonstrated on her current single “More”—Clare spent the last several months traveling the U.S. visiting radio stations, fans, and performing her first show at Madison Square Garden, opening for Kane Brown before a sold-out crowd. “Playing the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden was hard to put into words. Growing up in rural America, this milestone show was a reminder that your dreams can take you anywhere!” said Clare.

The Next Women of Country Tour starts in April. Check out the schedule at claredunn.com or cmt.com.
