Country Thunder Humboldt Broncos Cowgirl Magazine

Last week, a bus crash in Canada resulted in the loss of 10 Humboldt Broncos players, as well as 6 Humboldt Broncos staff members. This tragedy has shook up thousands of people, and left many wondering what they can do to help the families who lost a loved one.

Country Thunder decided to take matters into their own hands, and have announced that they will be putting together a concert that will directly benefit those who lost a loved one in the accident. Read the official statement made by Country Thunder Below.

Here at Country Thunder Music Festivals, we have strong roots in both rural Saskatchewan and in the hockey community.

The tragic bus crash that took 16 lives affected all of us in ways that we are still trying to comprehend.

As an organization, we wanted to find a way to directly help the families affected by this tragedy, and with our strong ties to the country music industry, we decided the best way to help would be to combine music with a fund-raiser.

We are proud to announce today that the Country Thunder Foundation will host a live tribute country music concert on April 27 at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. This event will directly benefit the families of the Humboldt Broncos players, coaches and staff who were injured or lost their lives in this tragic accident.

Entertainment in general, and music in particular, has the power to help to heal the soul. Not only will this concert benefit the families directly, we hope that it can help the healing process for our hockey family, the tight knit community of Humboldt, and the people of Saskatchewan.

Please circle this date and plan to attend. Details will be released early next week.

Please follow Country Thunder on Facebook for updates on the benefit concert.
