This take on a classic American comfort food uses the simplest recipe for a light and crispy delight. Enjoy with a refreshing Sea Breeze.

FRIED CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS:

Serves 2

Canola oil, for frying

1 cup flour

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces, backbone discarded

DIRECTIONS

Heat 2” oil in a 6-qt. saucepan over medium heat until a deep-fry thermometer reads 350°. Place flour in a large bowl, season with salt and pepper, and set aside. Generously season chicken all over with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken pieces in flour, shaking off excess. Place in oil and fry, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and dark brown, 15 minutes for white meat, 20 minutes for dark meat. Drain on paper towels and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Chunky Cole slaw

Ingredients:

6 cups coarsely chopped cabbage

1 cup coarsely chopped red bell pepper

1/2 cup coarsely chopped radish

1/2 cup coarsely chopped large scallion

1/2 cup coarsely chopped cilantro

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup white wine vinegar

1 teaspoon celery seed

1/4 cup sugar

Salt and pepper

Directions

In a large bowl, combine cabbage and other vegetables. In a smaller bowl, make dressing by combining mayonnaise, vinegar, celery seed, sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss dressing into cabbage mixture and let chill. Serve in a family style bowl.

This simple classic mixes crisp cranberry and slightly bittersweet grapefruit with Grey Goose Original Vodka for a perfectly balanced summertime sip.

Ingredients:

1 ½ Parts Grey Goose vodka

2 Parts fresh squeezed white grapefruit juice

1 Part cranberry juice

Lime quarter to garnish

Directions:

Build Grey Goose and grapefruit juice in a highball glass.

Add cubed ice and stir.

Top with cranberry juice.
