Tracy Hart’s life in the Western world has been fully centered around horse trailers. Hart Trailer was started by her parents Anthony and Kay Hart in 1968 when Tracy was three years old, and her passion has only grown.  “The summer of 1976, I drove my dad crazy wanting to go to work in the shop until he finally gave up and handed me a broom and told me to go sweep the shop.  I didn’t care what I did, I just wanted to be a part of it.  I spent my childhood summers doing anything from cutting parts, welding trailers, to trimming trailers.”

While her parents may have owned a horse trailer company, Tracy did not grow up around horses.  At the age of 35, she got her first horse that she tragically lost to cancer.  She doubted if horse ownership was meant for her, until a young lady named Amanda came to work in the office.  “Amanda made the mistake of asking me to come ride at her family’s farm.  Now, 10 years later, I’m the proud owner of four barrel horses and a brood mare with a foal due next month.  I spend my evenings riding, competing, and most nights just enjoying the peace that they’ve brought into my life.”

“I look at the trailers we build and knowing how much I love my own horses, I want to build the safest trailer possible to care for all those who entrust us with their loved ones.  I want this company to continue to grow for all those who are coming up behind me to carry on the legacy my parents started so many years ago.  Those are the passions that drive me daily.  I’m one of those who are blessed to love their job and what they do.  I will never take that for granted or be ungrateful.”
