Sabrina Ponte showed promise in her future beginning at a young age. Growing up, she was actively involved within her church choir, and participated in theater and opera. Her knack for songwriting and singing would eventually lead her to graduate from the New England Conservatory of Music, as well as the Berklee College of Music.

We have a special first look at her newest single “Chance of Whiskey”, and got to catch up with Sabrina to chat about her inspiration, her numerous charity projects, and what’s next.

There are so many answers we don’t have, especially when we are young. There’s always a chance of something you might not be able to control or guarantee. "I really wanted to write about the concept of “chance of whiskey” and that’s exactly what my two co writers and I did," Sabrina explains. "'Chance of Whiskey' is a fun song about there being chances of a lot of different things happening in your night and although you don’t know the outcome, what you do know now is there’s a strong chance of whiskey."

"Chance of Whiskey" is a song a lot of people can relate to with the feeling of just needing a strong one. It serves as a reminder not to stress too much because life’s going to happen; so try to live in the moment and have fun when you can!

Sabrina has a huge passion for giving back and volunteering in her community. "I truly hope to use my platform to be able to make a difference. One person can make a difference, not everyone needs to do what we think are big miraculous things because one small thing can really be that miraculous thing in someone’s day."

Never underestimating the effects of being a good person, she has worked with a variety of organizations. Sabrina seeks to make a difference within her community, and she uses the power of music to reach that goal. She has helped to fundraise thousands of dollars for The Children's Miracle Network, hosted red carpet interviews at St Jude’s Country Cares, volunteered at several hospitals, and much more.

Sabrina was also most recently crowned Miss Music City USA 2023, and will be competing to win the Miss Tennessee Crown in March of 2023. "I love trying to always be the best version of myself, using my platform to help others, and being on stage. One of the reasons I first got into pageants was because of music!"

For Sabrina, the rest of the year entails shows and making more music. "Writing and singing my music is something I love and look forward to sharing more of it with you all."
