2020 is Texas’ year for winter western events. With the relocation of Wrangler National Finals Rodeo to Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, many other traditionally Las Vegas-based events have announced Texas location switches.
We’ve pulled together a list of every December event that is usually in Las Vegas that has moved to the Lone Star State for 2020 in COWGIRL’s Guide to the Wrangler NFR.
Wrangler NFR
The official Wrangler NFR announcement took place at Globe Life Stadium and was shared via livestream to Facebook for the world to see.
Along with the WNFR rodeo performances, naturally, the Back Number Ceremony and Back Number Presentations will also take place in Texas.
Other NFR-associated events including Cowboy Christmas, the PRCA Awards Banquet and Gala, and the Pro Rodeo League of Women Style Show and Luncheon have moved to Texas as well.
All-in Barrel Race
All-in Breakaway Roping
Benny Binion’s World Famous Wrangler NFR Bucking Horse Sale
Rope for the Crown, Las Vegas Stars, and Patriot
Stetson Country Christmas and Roper Cowboy Marketplace
Cowtown Christmas in the Stockyards
A new event made especially for the Fort Worth Stockyards, Cowtown Christmas will make use of the Stockyards’ available commercial space and open areas to create a unique, Texan shopping experience.
While the tradition of December in Las Vegas will be missed, Texas is looking like it’s about to host an amazing Wrangler NFR Experience!
