I crave that heady 4 am feeling
The whisper of history through aspens
When the fall breezes hit
Before it’s time to hit the road again
I see the cheap sticky truck stop cafe seats
Where all the songs are written
In a ratty fur coat
And pink plastic sunglasses
The ones with the rhinestones on the edge
I dream of living in the 40’s
Of rodeos and wild living
Of rangy ponies
And making dreams come true
If that’s my dream
And you are there
What would you want too?
