The 74th annual Del Mar National Horse Show is a three-week long, internationally known horse show for which cowgirls and boys travel far and wide to compete. The horse show runs for three weeks, incorporating both English and Western riding.
On April 16th, the event began in Del Mar, California with Western Week. This week is Dressage Week, and April 30th marks the start of Hunter/Jumper Week.
Over 1,500 horses are brought to compete for over $300,000 in prize money. For many, this event is make or break.
The show has been exciting so far, and the events continue until May 5th. Many events are free for spectators, excluding some of the featured events like their famous Evening of Musical Freestyles.
