All-natural and simple to make, this peppermint bug spray will be a hit around your barn and house. The hot weather means flies, gnats, ants, and other pests are making an appearance. Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 15 drops of peppermint essential oil

Directions

  1. Combine water and peppermint oil in a spray bottle. 
  2. Shake bottle before each use.
  3. Store the spray in your refrigerator to keep the smell strong.

This solution can be used around stall doors, windowsills, and door frames. The potent smell is a bug deterrent. Spiders, ants, mosquitoes, gnats, flies, and even mice are not fans of the scent.

Another idea: Place a few drops of peppermint oil on a cotton ball. They can be put around the barn and house. Make sure pets can't reach them though.
