Tuesday, Dolly Parton announced a new book to be released this fall:
Songteller: My Life in Lyrics.
The work is by
Dolly Parton, but will feature Nashville music author and journalist Robert K. Oermann.
Songteller is a songwriter’s version of an autobiography; Dolly presents 175 songs she’s written throughout her life and pulls them apart, revealing the stories behind the lyrics.
“A songteller is what I am, and this is my first-ever book of lyrics,” says Dolly. “So, I’ve revisited my memories and opened up my archives to share the stories and treasures behind them in a way I never have before. It’s going to be a beautiful book!”
Songteller: My Life in Lyrics will be released November 17, 2020, but is available for
preorder now.
