If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a mustang, then now’s your chance! The BLM is offering up to $1,000 for individuals who adopt an untrained horse in their corrals. The adopter must go through their new adoption incentive program to be eligible for this promotion.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has offered this incentive in an attempt to reduce the costs of caring for these untrained horses. All untrained animals that are eligible for adoption, including those in BLM facilities, off-site events, and the Online Corral, can be part of the new incentive. These horses can be any color, age, gender, and height.

Within 60 days of adopting an untrained wild horse or burro, the adopter receives $500. And within 60 days of titling the animal, they’ll receive another $500. A $25 fee is due at the time of adoption.
