Tyson Durfey took to Facebook to share the names of every PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) World Champion from 1929 to 2019. If this doesn’t give you chills then don’t call yourself a rodeo fan!

“These are the names of every WORLD CHAMPION in the PRCA in all Events until 2019! To see all the legendary names it truly gives me goosebumps and makes me more hungry than ever before.⁠

Looking at this list I wonder about all the stories these men must have had. I can only imagine there were stories of a few bar fights, broken hearts, broken down rigs, wild horses and bulls, great rodeo wins, broken bones, train rides to rodeos, and probably so many more.⁠

My mind wanders to what it was like to rodeo with Roy Cooper or Dean Oliver. It thinks of what it would have been like to Fly to a rodeo with Larry Mahan or Ty Murray. I think of what It would have been like to ride a train car to Pendelton or Maddison Square Garden with Everett Bowman. It would have been amazing to witness even if I was just a fly on the wall.⁠

One thing is for certain….there was a lot of sweat, blood, and tears that went into everyone of these mens lives to become Champions. I don’t believe that Champions are born, I believe that Champions are created through hard work, effort, and SINGULARITY of focus. I know that ABILITY is part of but each one of these men were made differently and won their own way. Some were big, some were skinny, some were tall, some were short, some were rich, some were poor, but one thing they all had is HEART and TRY. Those two things all true cowboys must have.” – Tyson Durfey
