The largest group of horse enthusiasts are those whose interest is in trail riding or just riding for pleasure. Finding the right horse for these activities can be a costly and time-consuming process.

The Great American Ranch and Trail Horse Sale and Competition held on April 8-10, 2021 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia, caters specifically to the trail and recreational rider as well as those wanting a dependable ranch horse. This unique, annual horse auction will be selling trail horses of all breeds, ponies, and mules for all levels of riders that will be priced for all budgets.

Come watch horses compete in a $1,000 Ranch Horse Competition and a $2,000 Trail Horse Competition. A Meet and Greet Social for the buyers and consignors is held on Thursday to watch the horses demonstrate their skills. On Friday you can watch 2 clinics, Buying the Right Horse, and Connecting with my New Horse. There will be demonstrations and great vendors with products for both horse and rider. 

The sale is held at one of the finest equine facilities in the east, the Virginia Horse Center. It has a large indoor coliseum with plenty of seating and room for social distancing. Masks are required. Bid live at the auction, by phone, or online bidding.
