Are flies attacking at your barn? It's not uncommon to see dozens of them swarming your horse on a hot summer day. You can spray your horse, use a sheet and mask, or even clean up their manure daily, but flies will still appear and cause everyone to be uncomfortable. Luckily, you can put a huge dent in their population with a DIY trap.

Homemade Fly Trap

Supplies:

  • Plastic bottle with a black lid
  • 3 paper clips
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Drill
  • Raw meat like liver

Directions:

Follow this helpful tutorial to construct your trap.

Hang your trap slightly away from the barn and fields. The flies will smell the rotting meat and be drawn to it. Within days, your DIY project will be filled with these blood-thirsty insects. There's no need to buy traps when you can make your own easily!
