Friendsgiving is a newer holiday tradition that involves lots of food and your friends. It's a combination of the words friends and Thanksgiving. Here's your excuse to throw an awesome barn party. Food, friends, and horses- now that's a good time!

What's Friendsgiving?

Basically, it involves hosting a dinner with buddies. Some people have it in addition to Thanksgiving, while others do it instead. There's no hard rules on when or how to celebrate it.

For horse barns, it can offer a great chance to get all the boarders and lesson students together for a good meal. Most riders love an excuse to get together and talk about horses.

A good idea can be to do a potluck meal with everyone bringing something tasty. You can even provide a sign up sheet to get a mix of sides and desserts. The food can be traditional like turkey and mash potatoes or take a unique turn with hamburgers or pizza.

In addition to tasty food, you can turn on a horse movie or head out for a trail ride. It'll be a great way to make memories with fellow equestrians.
