Winter can get the best of us! It zaps your hair leaving it dry and brittle. Your horse’s mane is no different. Most can benefit from a leave-in conditioner! Ideally, you’ll choose something with natural ingredients that won’t compromise the structure of the hair. If you’re crafty, you can make your own product with some basic items.

Leave-In Horse Conditioner

This conditioner utilizes coconut oil, which has been proven to penetrate and moisturize the hair.

  • 16 oz Spray Bottle
  • 2 tbs Fractionated Coconut Oil
  • 2 tsp Vegetable Glycerin
  • 1 tsp Witch Hazel
  • Essential Oils (like lavender or rosemary)
  • 2 Cups Distilled Water

After you gather the materials, simply add them in the spray bottle and shake! This conditioner can be used on their body, mane, and tail. It doesn’t have to be washed out afterwards. You can leave it in to soak and nourish their hair.

It’s natural and safe! You can even use it on your own hair.
