At the National Reined Cowhorse Celebration of Champions in Fort Worth, TX, Emily Kent ran off with the show. She was the Non-pro champion of the Tres Osos Cowhorse Derby, as well as being crowned the World's Greatest Youth Horseman Champion.

Emily, a senior in high school, rode “On The Reydio” (Reydioactive x Bewitching Ichi) to a composite score of 665.0, as well as winning the reining and the fence work rounds. She secured her win in the Non-Pro Derby by being a 230.5 down the fence. On The Reydio and Emily were also the highest score in the reining with a 220.5. 

It wasn’t until the night of the finals for the World's Greatest Horseman when Emily stole the hearts of everyone in Cowtown and secured her title as the 2022 Youth World's Greatest Horseman Champion. She rode CallMe Mister Mister (Mister Dual Pep x Travelin With Sass) to a final fence score of 153 to take home the title. Her composite score was 746, with a 146.5 in the steer stopping.

Emily Kent and her two horses earned over $11,300 while at the Celebrations of Champions. On The Reydio also was the Non-Pro Chrome champion at the Derby.

But that's not all, On The Reydio and Emily finished the week off by winning the High School Rodeo Class. Future plans for Kent involve cow horses, and after graduating high school she plans to start training horses for the public.
