Brooklyn Supreme “Brookie” was a beautiful red roan with a flaxen mane and tail that rose to fame due to his incredible size. The purebred Belgian Draft stallion was born on April 12,1928, on the Earle Brown farm near Minneapolis, Minnesota. While his height of 19.2 hands was staggering enough, he weighed in at a massive 3,200 pounds!
An average Belgian Draft horse weighs around 2,000 pounds. While Brookie is not the world’s tallest horse, his girth of 10ft. 2 in. was the largest ever measured on a horse. He continues to be the largest Belgian Draft on record.
