Ivy Conrado on Mia Hamm (PC: The Fence Post)

There aren’t many cowgirls faster than Ivy Conrado! The barrel racing star will be competing at this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Ivy and her horses will be running against some amazing barrel racing teams like Hailey Kinsel and Sister. With family, friends, and a lot of fans behind her, there’s no stopping this cowgirl.

Meet one of Ivy’s barrel racing horses! JLo is a 9-year old mare who was added to the herd in 2017. She’s been extremely consistent and a wonderful addition to the team. Take a look at that gorgeous mane!

Ivy and JLo sure can run a good pattern together! They will start the NFR in 10th place with $98,385.

So how did this cowgirl achieve so much success so young? It all started when Ivy began riding at age three on a pony named Snip. When she was five she had a terrible riding accident that kept her from riding for a year. It wasn’t until college that this cowgirl returned to competing on horses.

Three years ago Ivy had her first qualification on AQHA/WPRA Barrel Racing horse of the year CFour Tibbie Stinson, “Tibbie.” Her journey really took off from there!

During her second NFR qualification, she rode Tibbie, JLo, and Famey. These rides moved her from 14th to 5th in the world standings.
