Everything about this just screams fall! That plaid scarf against the striped shirt is such a smart move (don’t be afraid to mix related patterns)! Over-the-knee boots can sometimes be daunting to wear but paired with jeans and a casual top they are perfect for a daytime look!

Dusters caught fire last season and as they continue to stick around and be a western style staple they just keep getting better and better. This one is a new favorite of mine. I love that it mixes dark fall colors like burnt auburn, magenta and even black flowers against a crisp white. It has a lightness to it that makes it totally unique! The plain white shirt works perfectly with a knot tied in it to add some texture and with the over-the-knee boots and jeans this look is a winner!

Hello booties! We sure do love you! How comfortable, yet cute is this look? I must say, I’ve never seen a velvet kimono with bell sleeves, and I love it! The rich merlot color sets off the brightly-hued flowers and the simple cream top keeps it from getting too dark and top-heavy. Paired with the brown booties this look is effortlessly chic!

Admit it ladies, part of the reason we love fall fashion so much is that it pretty much consists of layering lots of comfy sweaters, scarves, hats, and any other piece of soft, warm, comfortable clothing on.  So, as simple as this outfit is. It totally works. Pair it with some black pants and throw on some statement earrings to dress it up a bit. But other than that. You can totally sport a cute pull-over with a snappy saying and some jeans as a stylish look. It’s fall, and that’s what it’s all about. Now where the heck did I set my pumpkin spice latte?
