With the explosive Yellowstone Season 4 finale paired with Season 5 currently in production, the anticipation for November 13 just builds by the day. With the newest season looming, we can't help but wonder what is next for the Duttons and the rest of the cast. Kevin Costner, who plays patriarch John Dutton, recently spoke out on the shows future.

Costner recently walked the red carpet for the premiere of Paramount+ UK. In an interview with Extra, he addressed rumors that Season 5 could be the end of Yellowstone. To this, he said, "I really don't know. That's why I look to the future. I deal with everything I have to do, but I'm not going to get flat-footed by anybody."

One of Costner's biggest fans, his own father William Costner, predicted the show wouldn't last very long. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Kevin revealed, "My dad, who passed away this year, my mom too, within months of each other, took a big interest in my career, and he said, 'You’re going to lose your audience fella, that is a naughty show. That is a naughty show.' He said, 'They’re gonna drift away son,' and I said, 'Dad,' [he said], 'You mark my words, it’s naughty.' I just had to look at my dad like, ‘Oh my God.’ And then two years later he’s going, 'The nurses wanna know how it ends.'"

Paramount Network has not confirmed the future of the show beyond Season 6, but time will only tell!
