How It Started

“My Dad started the rodeo company that I now run before I was born. I was raised on a ranch 25 miles from town. ”

How She Works

“There are many pros and cons with any career you choose.  The cons with raising bucking horses and traveling to produce rodeos is that the hours can be long and irregular.  However, that can also be a pro. None of us are tied to a regular 40 hour work week, living for the weekend, or for a week or two vacation a year.  I often say that my whole life is a vacation, in the sense that I get to travel, meet new people, and develop friendships all over the world that I have had since I was a child.  Growing up in this business, I am accustomed to irregular schedules.  When you are raised in a house where your income is derived from animals that is just part of it.  Business always comes first.  Then family, friends, social life etc., all work around it.”

Why She LOVES It

“I love what I do because of the animals. Mostly the bucking horses.  There is nothing that brings me greater joy than to raise a colt from conception to the winner’s circle at a rodeo.”
