At the American Quarter Horse World Show, one girl and her horse rose up above the others. Andie Jensen, from Greeley, Colorado, rode her little buckskin horse “Smart Sparkin Girl” to multiple wins in multiple classes.
At this year’s World Show, Andie rode her mare “Smart Sparkin Girl” in three classes. Level 2 Amateur Working Cow Horse, where they were sixth in the world. She then showed in the Ranch Trail, the team went bronze there placing them third in the world. Finally, Andie showed her fancy footed mare in the level 2 and level 3 Ranch Riding. The two of them then won the title of Amateur Ranch Riding Level 3 World Champions. Watch her world champion run here.
This World Show was nothing short but amazing for Andie, “Earning this title has been a dream of mine for many years, and it’s finally a reality.”
This little mare and Andie have a pretty special story too, “I’ve had her for about three years now, I bought her at the beginning of her two year old year.” They purchased the cute little mare from Kyle and Greg Hause, from Pheonix, Arizona.
“Smart Sparkin Girl” is a 2016 model mare sired by “Large Bills Please” and she is out of “Lil Hot Par Tee Girl”. The two of them have aspirations on making the mare a superior one day. Andie also has plans to add a new horse to her show string, and continue to show in the cowhorse classes.
