Situated in the foothills of the Brushy Mountains near Statesville, North Carolina, the town of Love Valley is a horse lover’s dream! This town was made for cowboys and cowgirls who love to ride. There’s a simple rule though- no cars are allowed!
Founded in the 1960s by Andy Barker, this town is filled with western culture. Visitors have the option of camping, staying in a cabin or renting a rustic room. Some of the fun activities include horseback riding, various events, local food, live music and shopping.
There’s over 2,000 acres of privately owned land for folks to ride in. They even offer horse rentals and guided trail rides! Hitching posts are located throughout the town, if you want to take a food or water break. There’s also large riding arenas, which host rodeos and horse shows.
This town is most famous for their no car rule. Guests will have to leave their cars in designated parking spots. Love Valley only allows horses and carriages downtown.
