Nothing can keep Maddie & Tae down! At the start of 2020, the country duo were suppose to go on their Tourist in This Town Tour with special guest Avenue Beat. Although the tour was called off, Maddie & Tae and Avenue Beat still teamed up! The two groups collaborated on a couple new recording for Spotify Singles, including a cover of Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar.”

Anyone that listens to “Today’s Hits” type stations has heard the pop song from the former One Direction band member. Maddie & Tae take Styles’ song and turn it on its head. The duo strips the song down and give “Watermelon Sugar” their own sound. 

The country cover features Maddie Marlow and Avenue Beat’s Savana Santos switching off on vocals. As well as fellow band members Tay Dye, Sami Bearden, and Sam Backoff joining in, and the result is amazing. 

In addition to the cover of “Watermelon Sugar,” the Spotify Singles release also includes a brand new version of Maddie & Tae’s “Everywhere I’m Goin’” featuring Avenue Beat.

Maddie & Tae’s new album, The Way It Feels, released in April 2020, includes the duo’s current hit, “Die From a Broken Heart,” as well as 14 other incredible songs. These women continue to break the country charts and we can not wait to see what the rest of 2020 has in store for Maddie & Tae.
