If you weren’t already looking forward to summer, we’ve got a reason for you: Midland‘s got a new album coming out August 23rd!’

The group’s last album, On The Rocks, was named “the year’s best country album” by The Washington Post, also earning the earned the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. With such a successful past, fans are looking forward to Midland’s next musical installment.

Now that they’ve rocked with On The Rocks, they’re about to Let It Roll.

Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, and Jess Carson always want to be true to themselves when writing music. “We want to keep things fresh and real,” says Duddy. “The beauty of being in Dripping Springs and spending so much time on the road, we don’t get caught up in what’s trending. We’re able to follow our hearts (and our livers) to where we think country is the best.”

“Everything we’ve learned out on the road touring On The Rocks is all right here on this album. These songs are deeply personal and from the heart,” says Wystrach.

“A lot of what was is still so cool, and with the help of Dann, Shane and Josh, as well as the support of Scott and Big Machine, we’re able to be true to the music and keep our kind of country alive,” adds Carson.

For a hint at the album’s sound, see their “Mr. Lonely” music video, guest starring Dennis Quaid. A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, if we do say so ourselves.

Mark your calendars for August 23rd; this one’s gonna be good.
