The collab we all needed is finally here. Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris team up for “Way Too Pretty for Prison,” the latest song from Lambert’s upcoming album, Wildcard.

Lambert talked to Rolling Stone about the song’s origin. “I wrote it with the Love Junkies, so it’s four girls in a room drinking wine, writing a song called ‘Way Too Pretty for Prison. It kind of called for a duet. I remember saying when we were writing it, ‘Maren would be awesome on this.’ I sent it to her and she was in. It’s just one of those girl anthems.”

“Way Too Pretty for Prison” features the two country rebels discussing desires to murder Morris’ flame, but always reaching the conclusion that they’re too pretty for prison, and therefore should not commit the crime. In the chorus, the women lament, “Hard time ain’t our kind of livin’/ And I don’t want to talk about/ The way those jumpsuits wash us out.”

The quirky-but-smooth tune is sure to be on repeat all week for us. What do you think?

Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard is set to release November 1st (preorder and save here), and you can catch her and Maren Morris on the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour this fall.
