Miron Crosby is a boot brand that incorporates the beauty of the past with the new styles of the present. Each design is a beautiful and stylish creation unlike any other that you might see in stores.

“Sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means announce Miron Crosby, a bespoke boot brand and store located in Highland Park Village. Miron Crosby is inspired by the sisters’ experiences of growing up on their family’s West Texas cattle ranch, and later living and working in New York City.

“The artisanal boots for women, men, and children are hand-lasted in Texas by Rios of Mercedes — a 160-year-old manufacturer and cousins of the Means sisters. The inaugural line will feature the iconic tall cowboy boot, the popular shorty, and the novel midi-boot in an array of leathers, exotic skins, and intricate stitching.

“In addition to boot stock offerings, a concierge design service is also available, allowing clients to modify an existing silhouette to create a one-of-a-kind pair, which can also be personalized. To complement their boots, Miron Crosby will offer an assortment of unique western-inspired accessories such as: turquoise jewelry and belts consigned by Shiprock Santa Fe; belt buckles, barware, and jewelry from Comstock Heritage; private-label leather and exotic belts from Chacón; and contemporary beaded jewelry from Mignonne Gavigan.

“Our great-grandfather was named Marion Otis Means. He was the ultimate gentleman, as he was debonair and a cowman’s cowman. “Miron” is a play on his first name. Crosby is the name of a pasture on our family’s cattle ranch, as well as one of our favorite streets in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City — a place for shopping and inspiration that has influenced our aesthetic. We love fusing the authenticity of West Texas with the fashionable creativity of New York.

“Each pair of Miron Crosby boots is handcrafted in the ivy-covered Rios of Mercedes factory — a 160-year-old company owned and operated by our cousins — in Mercedes, Texas. There, a master artisan with decades of experience selects the luxurious leathers and exotic skins, then cuts, lasts, and stitches every pair by hand.” -Miron Crosby
