Okay, yikes; Miss Rodeo America 2020 Jordan Tierney just held a wild alligator!

Jordan, a.k.a. Miss South Dakota, has been traveling and learning all about different customs since becoming Miss Rodeo America 2020. This week in Florida, she held a wild alligator!

“Last night while hog hunting the opportunity to catch an alligator presented itself and in true Florida fashion our guide made it a night to remember!” wrote Jordan on Instagram as @missrodeoamericaofficial. “Just in the short time as Miss Rodeo America I have had the opportunity to learn about different customs of diverse areas across the United States and I am taking it all in! Although one common thread always holds us together and that is agriculture.”

She may be beaming in the photo, but her caption reveals her true sentiments!

“I might look like I have it together in the first photo, but please swipe to witness a South Dakota girl hold her first wild alligator,” wrote Jordan. “I did not stay calm and this is why I live where the air hurts your face in the winter.”

Jordan Tierney was crowned Miss Rodeo America 2020 in Las Vegas in December, and has had some amazing experiences since (in addition to befriending a wild alligator).
