Carly Pearce’s new release “Dear Miss Loretta” feat. Patty Loveless

“To hear Patty Loveless sing your words, there’s no way to describe that sensation,” Pearce says. “Her voice is Appalachia, those mountains and hollers are country music. To think, a year ago, I was asking myself, ‘What would Patty Loveless do?’ thinking about all her songs, how smart and sassy she always was… and now she’s on one of mine.”

Casi Joy’s new single “Senses Fail”

“I wrote “Senses Fail” about that moment when one of your senses brings you right back to a loss or experience you thought you had healed from,” Joy explains. “It’s always fascinated me how our five senses can act as triggers, and is something I think we’ve all experienced. Smelling a certain scent or hearing a song can pop you right back to that moment, and it’s almost like no time has passed; you can feel it all again.”

Savannah Rae’s new single “Typical Texas Girl”

Rising country star and COWGIRL reader, Savannah Rae, says, “‘Typical Texas Girl’ is inspired by some of the stereotypes Texas girls can often face, and how some people may underestimate us. People see the big hair, the rhinestones, the dressed to the 9’s, and automatically assume we are lesser than. But what they don’t see is how hardworking, resilient, capable, and smart Texas girls actually are.”

Teea Goans’ new single “Easy”

Of her new song, written with her producer Jim “Moose” Brown, Goans says, “Moose and I wrote ‘Easy’ on the first day we met. The idea came from 2020 and the challenges brought on not only from the pandemic, but also some abrupt changes in my personal life as well. My husband was my safe place. No matter how uncertain life felt, or I felt, he was a steady place to land. The production represents who I am in my life in this moment.”

Emily Scott Robinson’s new single “Old Gods”

Of her upcoming album, Robinson shares, “I think that the thread running through the album is those things that call to us, and how we can’t resist that call. It’s about the siren songs that come up through our lives. It is bigger and riskier and more expansive than my last collection. It feels like I wrote some songs that I’m going to grow into as I continue to perform them. They’re excavating some deeper stuff than I’ve touched on before, I think they will have a healing quality for people who listen.”

Danielle Bradbery’s new single “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots”

Danielle Bradbery shares a coming-of-age declaration with new track “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots.” She says “This song is a fiery anthem for every girl that’s ever felt strung along by a guy. The bold lyrics and sassy beat really pulled me in and reminded me of that fun, Shania Twain, 90’s country pop vibe that I’m pumped to channel that into my music. It made me feel for the times my friends and I have been in the middle of these situation-ships. There’s no longer room for wishy-washy feelings or time for you to be unsure – you’re either all in or you’re out!”
