It's no secret that Pam Minick is one of the great women of Texas, but now she has her name on an award that says so.

At 19, she planned to attend University of Nevada Las Vegas but soon won the title of Miss Rodeo America. She was the youngest person ever to hold this title and began traveling the country.

She began working as an announcer, commentator, emcee, and more while continuing to compete in the rodeo arena.

Years later in 1982, she attended a concert at Billy Bob's and met her future husband, Billy Minick. Billy was the general manager at the time and the club soon when out of business. Billy and Pam, along with business partners, bought the club and reopened it. It continues to thrive as a gem of Fort Worth.

Congratulations, Pam on winning this very deserved award.
