The Professional Bull Riders and National High School Rodeo Association just announced a partnership that is poised to help expand high school rodeo through a combination of marketing and specially designed programs for youth, “The NHSRA is proud to welcome PBR as a partner of high school rodeo,” said James Higginbotham, Executive Director of the NHSRA. “PBR’s investment in the NHSRA will benefit our student athletes by increasing exposure for our association through marketing the rights to NHSRA’s media. We look forward to a rewarding partnership for years to come.”

The most groundbreaking part of this partnership is that there will be international coverage of high school rodeo. In recent years, rodeo has become less and less televised, but that is all about to change, “This is a significant opportunity to grow high school rodeo as a global media property by leveraging Endeavor’s reach, shining a light on compelling NHSRA student-athletes around the world, and raising awareness of a sport every young athlete should consider,” said Sean Gleason, CEO of the PBR.

Speaking more on the exciting news, Gleason said, ““We’ve been big fans of high school rodeo well before Jess Lockwood was winning a quarter of a million dollars at the PBR while still competing in high school rodeo,” Gleason said. “PBR has been working to build the western lifestyle for 25 years, and we want to help the NHSRA grow and expose their great property to the world through our experience, industry relationships, and media channels.”
