Rachel Joi Painted Her Wall Black And It Totally Works

“If you’re scared or holding back on painting a wall black just do it,” wrote Rachel Joi on Instagram. “I promise you won’t regret it.”

While the thought of painting a wall black may seem a little intimidating, Rachel insists that it can really pull a room together.

“It makes this room feel regal & cool. It’s like the Tom Selleck wall of the room,” she says. “I think this may be my favorite corner in my house for now.”

Rather than painting an entire room black, try an accent wall to draw attention to a certain area of the room. Rachel painted one wall black and has white wood paneling around the rest of the room, creating some contrast.

Her dark curtains and bedding balance out the accent wall to create a harmonious space.
