Kate Jensen, the owner of Raw Restorations, has a talent for turning something ordinary into a masterpiece. While many people have trouble envisioning their dream home renovation, Kate was born with a special eye for design that she shares with her dad.

“Raw restorations was sparked by my desire to create unique industrial furniture and art pieces with the barns my dad and I tear down. For as long as I can remember, my dad could build anything. When I was a little girl I used to watch him take pieces of discarded barn wood to his “hut” and magically transform them into my mom’s favorite pieces of reclaimed furniture. That was 30 years ago. Today…he has a woodworking warehouse, and I don’t just watch anymore. We find forgotten barns and then disassemble them. We hunt for industrial steel and discarded industrial scrap and then bring them to back to life. If I can design it, he can build it. It’s the perfect partnership. After years working in the mortgage industry helping fund dreams for others, I decided it was time to follow my own dream.
