Horses Help, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has been a monumental success in aiding the lives of individuals living with disabilities. The equine therapy program has been growing exponentially and is the largest therapeutic riding center in the state of Arizona. This thriving business has over 10,200 equine adaptive actives and therapies each year!
Speaking of growth, Horses Help is continuing to branch out on an even larger scale! I talked to Gregg Goodman, the Executive Director of Horses Help, who informed me of several exciting opportunities that will soon be offered, including some open houses for individuals who are wanting to become a part of the equine therapy industry.
The first open house is on August 16th, and is the perfect opportunity for riding instructors interested in national certification, physical therapists, occupational therapists, COTA’s, and mental health & counseling professionals to take the first steps in becoming involved in one of the most rewarding careers the equine industry has to offer.
Horses Help wouldn’t be able to offer these exciting opportunities without an excellent team of staff and volunteers. Interested in volunteering? There are some excellent individual volunteer opportunities or group opportunities to choose from! There is also an option to sponsor a horse from the riding program!
