While the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo team has yet to reveal their 2020 venue, other traditionally Las Vegas-based events have announced changes in locale, including Cowboy Christmas. Newest to that list are 2020 Rope For The Crown, Las Vegas Stars, and Rodeo Fashion and Western Arts Expo.Rope For The Crown is a popular breakaway event owned by Jackie Crawford and produced by Chris Neal Productions. In 2019, the event was held at The Plaza Hotel’s CORE Arena.

Chris Neal Productions stated in a Wednesday press release:

“Our team has been working diligently to devise a plan with several options. As of right now, Las Vegas Stars and Rope For The Crown will be held at the Somervell Country Expo Center in Glen Rose, TX December 3-13. Las Vegas Stars and Rope For The Crown will proudly present Rodeo Fashion and Western Arts Expo as the official trade show held in conjunction with events.”

Rope For The Crown posted the full press release on Instagram:

With more and more events ditching Vegas in favor of safer locations for their December events, we can’t help but wonder if any western spirit will remain in Sin City this year. We’ll just have to wait and see.
