The mission of Sukwa Saddle Blankets is to provide a quality product that meets the needs of horse and rider. They took this goal a step further by setting out to empower women and make a better world. They’re achieving this plan one saddle blanket at a time!

Each blanket is designed and hand-woven with Imani Collective, a women’s economic empowerment group in Kenya. With each and every one sold, 5% of the profit is given back to holistic programs. This can include 55 meals for the artisan or a month of schooling for their kids.

On top of this, each one is beautifully constructed. Local wool and mohair from Northern Kenyan sheet farmers is used in the process. Check it out: How It’s Made!
